Edo Police Diary

By MICHAEL ODIGBE

WHEN the Commissioner of Police, Edo Command, Olayinka Balogun gave me a little book I took delight in it. I scanned its cover to decipher the scope of the book. What did I discover? It was titled: The Nigeria Police Edo State Command, Benin City. Diary 2012. I nodded with curiosity. It is not only a cat that is curious. Humans are, too.

Alemoh, Oghuma Drum Support For Oshiomhole

FUGAR – The re-election bid of the Edo State Governor and the Action Congress of Nigeria Candidate in the July 14 gubernatorial election in the State, Comrade Adams Aliu Oshiomhole has continued to receive more boost across the state and beyond.

The leader of Action Congress of Nigeria in Etsako Central Local Government Area and two-time Executive Chairman of the Local Government Area Council, Chief Dr. Joseph Akhigbe Alemoh (JP) has urged the people of Etsako Central Local Government to vote enmasse for the Comrade Governor come July 14 gubernatorial election in the state.

Chief Dr. Alemoh gave the passionate plea recently at Fugar during the ACN sensitization meeting held at the Party’s Secretariat at Fugar. He said the re-election bid of the governor is a task that must be supported by every Edo citizen who believes in development stressing that the Oshiomhole’s led administration has redefined governance and politics in the state since he took over the mantle of governance in the state in November 2008.

The former Etsako Central Council boss said the people of the state have never had it so good considering the development the governor has brought to every local government while urging them to be vigilant and watchful before and during the election.

On his part, the member representing Etsako Central Constituency at the Edo State House of Assembly and House Standing Committee on Commerce and Industry, Art and Culture, Hon. Johnson Egwakhide Oghuma told the party supporters and loyalists in the social government that the July 14 gubernatorial election is an election that would further increase the level of development the state is witnessing while appealing to the people to vote enmasse for Comrade Adams Aliu Oshiomhole so that the developments going on across the state are not truncated.

The state lawmaker stressed that the PDP rule in the state only succeeded in bringing underdevelopment to the people
