It was scooped by The NIGERIAN OBSERVER that the effect of the heavy rain has caused untold hardship amongst survivors particularly Mafionge’s family which was worst hit by the heavy flood that occurred from the rain.
Speaking with the NIGERIAN OBSERVER, one of the few survivors, who the paper hardly heard regrettably disclosed that: “The incident led to the disappearance of over 250 persons in the community”.
It was gathered that the community had earlier reported the disaster to the Delta State Government who we learnt did nothing to bring succur to the people.
