SIXTY ships laden with various good are to arrive in Lagos ports from December  12 to December 25.
The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) disclosed this in its daily publication, ‘Shipping Position’, made available to newsmen on Friday in Lagos.
The document indicated that 20 of the expected ships would arrive with containers and foods.
It reported that nine other ships were being expected to arrive with petrol, aviation fuel, kerosene and diesel.
The document stated that eight ships containing fresh fish were also being expected.
It said that the remaining 23 ships would arrive with crude palm oil, buck wheat, used vehicles, bulk sugar, bulk fertiliser, bulk gypsium, steel products, bulk malt, fresh fish and general cargo.
The document reported that 10 ships had arrived in the ports waiting to berth with food items such as; bulk rice, buckwheat, containers, bulk sugar and bulk fertiliser.
It said that 14 other ships had also arrived and waiting to berth at the various oil terminals in the ports with petroleum products, mostly petrol.
The document disclosed that 24 other ships were discharging cargoes like buck wheat, bulk rice, containers gasoline, fresh fish, base oil, general cargo, crude palm oil, fertiliser and petroleum products.
