BENIN CITY – The Management of Benin Electricity Distribution Company apologised to customers who have been experiencing disruption of electricity supply to their areas in last five days.
The disruption according to a statement by BEDC, has been due to a faulty 60 MV transformer serving the areas from the Transmission Company of Nigeria at Sapele Road.
The areas affected include Federal Housing & environs, WAEC Office & environs, Agbor Road, Federal Secretariat & environs, Aduwawa, Eyaen, Upper Mission & Extension, New Benin, Ugbowo, Uselu, parts of Sapele Road and Nekpenekpen Street. BEDC appealed for the understanding of its valued customers while the outage last as the authorities are presently liaising with the Transmission Company of Nigeria to see how power can be restored to the affected areas as quickly as possible.
