Edo State Government has commenced the fulfillment of its promise to open-up the nooks and crannies of different localities in the state with the flagging-off of the construction and asphalting of key roads in lkpoba — Okha and Orhionmwon Local government areas.
Speaking while inaugurating the construction and asphalting of Erediauwa Street off Sakponba and Sapele roads as well as twenty-five adjoining road with flood control works, the member representing lkpoba-Okha local government area on the board of the commission, Mr. Victor Ekhator said the projects on completion will go a long way towards easing human and vehicular movement of residents of the locality while also reducing the hardship hitherto experienced in moving farm produce and services from one point to the other as well as making accessibility within and between the people easier.
In Orhionmwon Local government area, the member representing the Local Government area on the board of the commission, Mr. Osaretin Edoma and the member representing Edo Central Senatorial District, on the board of the commission, Mr. Wellington Okoh who were both on the entourage of the Chairman of the commission, Barrister Vincent Uwadiae were full of praises for the state governor, Comrade Adams Aliu Oshiomhole for making good his promise to leave no stone unturned in improving on the glorious days of Abudu.
The chairman of the commission, Barrister Vincent Uwadiae said by the construction and asphalting of the Abudu Township road, a bridge and three adjoining roads namely:
Maternity, Isonorho and the Court roads, the fortunes of people living and doing business in the locality would be considerably improved and called on all the stakeholders to ensure a conducive working environment for the contractors handling the projects.
Inhabitants of the locality who witnessed the ceremony pledged their support for the APC led government for remembering them after years of neglect.
