BENIN CITY-The Chair Person of Hotel Felona Limited, Benin City and the Matriarch of the House of Favour International Church, Deaconess Felicia Onaiwu, has been eulogised for her humanitarian dispositions and services to the work of God.
Deaconess Onaiwu, biological mother of the founder and Senior Pastor of House of Favour International Church Worldwide, Rev. Lucky Onaiwu, was eulogised during her 70th birthday anniversary celebration and thanksgiving service, held at the church head quarters in Benin City.
In his sermon at the occasion Rev. Onaiwu, acknowledged the importance of celebration as enshrined by divinity, and therefore tasked the people to celebrate the living rather than the dead.
He particularly emphaisised on the book of John 12:1-7, Deuteronomy 15:11, Proverb 10:7and 1 Samuel 24:24 to anchor his submissions, saying that celebration is from God and not man.
Deaconess Onaiwu, who recounted how she was faced with deluge of challenges in bringing up her children after the death of her husband, expressed gratitude to God for making her and the children witness her birthday in grand style.
She praised the display of patriotism and encouragement of her children, especially Rev. Lucky Onaiwu, who deemed it fit to choose the path of Christianity religion to salvage the devastating situations they hitherto faced and prayed for God’s guidance, and wisdom upon her self children and all those that contributed to the success of her birthday anniversary celebration.
Mama Onaiwu stressed that her birthday shall further challenge her to remain steadfast, dogged in the fight for justice for the oppressed and be committed to the service of God, saying they are the bedrock of a successful living.
In attendance were, the General Overseer /Spiritual Leader of Christ Apostolic Church of God Mission Incorporation, Rev. Dr. Godspower Ogbonmwan who thanked God for sustaining and favouring the life of Deaconess Onaiwu who also is his cousin and Evangelist (Dr.) Margaret Agbonifo, of Family Intercessory Prayers Ministry, Benin City who described the celebrant as a dedicated widow that was inspired by the challenges of life.
Others were the wife of her son. Pastor Jane Onaiwu, Pastor Elijah, Pastor Lucky Osagbakhoe, Rev. and Mrs. Osemwenkhae, and Pastor and Mrs. Julius Osagbakhoe, Head pastor, House of Favour with Benin.
Also present were members of the Victorious International Women Club and the Lovely Matron of Nigerian where she is the founder.
