ABUJA – The unending Boko Haram and religious crisis in the country if left unchecked, may lead to the eminent collapsed of the country.
The bomb blast that rocked some parts of Abuja on the 2nd of this month, killing several persons and injuring others was a reminder that the war against Boko Haram is not over.
Several houses and cars were burnt down during the attack at Maraba area.
The travails of one Onakhe Ehinebo Yakub and Julius Vom in Maraba Area of Abuja is now a cause for concern among their friends and family members.
According to a source who pleaded anonymity, Yakub, the secretary of the coommuity association in Maraba. Vom and Yakub have been having running battles with some people in the area.
Before the bomb blast Yakub have had series of issues with some individuals and religous groups in the area. It was gathered that he has received several threatening text messages and was harassed in his home on numerous occasion.
As the secretary of the association, he was told by other youth to stay clear of the association activities of promoting the cause of child education and immunization of children in the district. He was also accused of pulling children out of koranic schools into formal schools. This campaign angered some fanatics who wanted him dead.
He was once accused of blasphemy by the fanatics in the area. The recent bomb attacks in several parts of the city including Nyanya, Kuje, Karo and Maraba, has increased the fear of Yakub and Vom, as according to source some youth and fanatics are masquerading as Boko Haram to avenge their enemies. Onakhe Ehinebo Yakub and Julius Vom who have since fled for fear of been killed have not been seen since them.
