IBREDE- The family of Ogude have been remembering their Patriarch Late Chief Alfred Edune Ogude who died 31st of May 1965.
A statement issued in Ibrede, Ndokwa east Local Government Area of Delta State yesterday by his son, Nicholas Chukuyenum Ogude said, Chief Ogude who was the Okpala-Ukwu of Ibrede clan was a great father whose life affected all who met him positively.
A philanthropist of repute, the late Edune Ogude  contributed financially to the building of the two main  Secondary Schools in Ashalca, Ndokwa East Local Government of Delta State.
He is one of the first few persons to own a car in his clan and a very successful business man.
It will be recalled that the late Chief Alfred Edune Ogude was killed by Ibrede people in the struggle to disown him of his inheritance, a great fish pond and vast expanse of land called Annor.
His gruesome murder in May 1965 drew condemnation from all over the old Mid-West region.
He is survived by many wives, children, grand children and many great grand children.
