BENIN CITY-A Benin-based businessman has called on the Assistant Inspector-General (AIG) of Police in charge of Zone 5 to investigate cases of threat to life, fraud and conspiracy allegedly committed against him by one Mr Osarobo Idahosa and his fleeing cohort in Benin City.

The petitioner, Mr Gabriel Evbuomwan, alleged that the said Mr Osarobo Idahosa who is the Chairman, Community Development Association (CDA), Evboriarria Community, threatened to kill him after he conspired with one ‘Mr Osagie, a land speculator’ to fleece him of over N.6million cash.

Mr Gabriel Evbuomwan further stated that the said Mr Osarobo had hired armed men to deny him access to his property which he is criminally laying claims to, in Evbuoriaria community, Benin City.

“That except, the respected AIG look this matter Mr Osarobo who is the Chairman of Evbuoriaria Community and Mr Osagie also from the same community and a land speculator agent are ready to kill our client and take over his bona fide property.

“We respectfully urged the AIG to use his good office to save our client from the hand of these disgruntled elements of the society”. Parts of the petition read.

Contacted on the telephone, Mr Osarobo and Mr Osage who have been evasive, declined comment.

Meanwhile, the Zone 5 Public Relations Officer DSP Emeka Iheanacho said the AIG is already working on the petition, and advised the petitioner to exercise patience.

“You know we have been occupied by the gubernatorial election in Edo State, so if we have not arrested any of them that does not mean we are not investigating the issues raised in the petition. I advise that he should be patient with the AIG”, DSP Iheanacho stated.
