Auchi – Edo state government will continue to strengthen traditional institutions and accord them necessary courtesies in the state to ensure all round development.
The Deputy Governor, Rt Hon. Philip Shaibu said this while on a thank you visit to the Enojie of Okalo kingdom, Igueben local government area, HRH Egualonna Izevbokha JP.
The Deputy Governor, who thanked the people for their votes and support in the September 28 election, assured the people of more support and government presence.
He told them that Governor Obaseki has already continued in the developmental strides of the past administration especially in the area of infrastructure development.
Comrade Shaibu added that the present administration will create job opportunities for the teeming youths through agriculture which is already receiving attention, assuring them that Igueben is already captured in government plan.
“You people did vote for continuity, and we will reciprocate with sustained infrastructure development. We even started by appointing deputy chief of staff from here in the person of Hon. Kingsley Ehigiamusor and more dividends will come”.
On his part, the Enojie of Okalo and the Enabojie of Esanland, Zaiki Egualonna Izebhokha thanked the Edo state government for renovating their community schools as part of its commitment to improve more on education in the state.
He however appealed for government’s continuous presence in the area especially on roads construction and other basic amenities.
In another engagement, the Deputy Governor inaugurated Dynamic British International School in Auchi, reaffirming the present administration’s determination to create policies and programmes that will improve education in the state.
He maintained that with public-private partnership initiative, education would regain its high standard in the state.
While congratulating the proprietors of the school, Apostle Johnson Suleiman and his wife for their achievement, commended them for their vision and investing in such venture that will be beneficial to the leaders of tomorrow and the public.
Responding, the Proprietor of the school and the General Overseer, Omega Fire Ministry, Apostle Johnson Suleieman said the essence of the school is to contribute to the educational standard of the country,insisting that the best way to get it right is to invest in basic education where morals can be inculcated in children.
He assured that the school, which will properly take off in September, will not be out of the reach of the common citizen.
