Christology: JESUS, the Wise Teacher
A wise teacher does not leave any stone unturned. He takes his time to explain every details to his students. That is exactly what our Lord Jesus Christ did to his disciples. After addressing the crowd in parables he comes back to explain in details the meaning to his disciples.
In the gospel of Matthew 13:18-23 our Lord Jesus Christ explains the parable of the sower to his disciples. According to him, “When any one hears the word of the kingdom and not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what is sown in his heart; this is what was sown along the path. As for what was sown on rocky ground, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while, and when tribulation or persecution arise on account of the word, immediately he falls away. As for what was sown among thorns, this is he who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the delight in riches choke the word and it prove unfruitful. As for what was sown on good soil, this is he who hears the word and understands it; he indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.” The word of God is the seed of life. It is the source of our fruitfulness.
Child of God, as long as you are ready to accept the word of God, and as long as you are putting it into practice you must excel! you must be fruitful and it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!
Inspirational Message: A good teacher is one who follows the curriculum but the best teacher is one who goes beyond the curriculum.
Prayer for good Teachers: Lord Jesus Christ, You were the best Teacher the world has ever known. You took your time to explain to your disciples the mystery of God’s kingdom. Indeed, you are the best Teacher! Lord, we have so many teachers in the world today. A good number of them are teaching not because they are called but because of money and lack of employment. Lord, bless our schools with good and God fearing teachers, self-less teachers like you – Amen!
Prophetic Message: GOD WILL SHOW YOU MERCY
In the book of Exodus 20:1-l7 the Lord declares, “I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing mercy to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.” Child of God, as long as you love God and you are willing to keep his commandment, He will surely show you mercy. He will not condemn you with the wicked. His goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life and you shall dwell in the Lord’s presence forever and ever – Amen!
SAT. JULY 29. Christology: JESUS, the End Time Judge
Most of the parables of our Lord Jesus Christ were kingdom parables. He uses parable to describe what the kingdom of God is all about. In the gospel of Matthew 13:24-30 he told his followers an end time parable. When the servant wanted to separate the good seed from the weeds the master said, “No, lest in gathering the weeds you root up the wheat along with them. Let both grow together until the harvest; and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, Gather the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my bam.”’
You can now see the reason while good people are co-existing with bad people. Why the Church is made up of good and bad people. Judgment day is coming when the good ones will be separated from the bad ones. Thank God, our Lord Jesus Christ is the Judge. To him be glory and praise both now and forevermore – Amen!
Inspirational Message: When you are busy pointing one finger to others remember that the rest of the fingers are pointing at you. So, judge not that you may not be judged.
End Time Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, you have made it clear that this world must surely come to an end and we must face judgment. On that last day the good ones will be separated from the bad ones. Lord, our fate is best known to you. You are the only One that can decide where we shall spend eternity. Do not condemn us with the wicked. Remember the blood you shed on the cross of Calvary. Save us from eternal damnation and may we never be separated from the your presence, through Christ our Lord – Amen!
Prophetic Message: You are Covered with the Blood of Jesus
The Israelites entered into covenant with the living God. In Exodus 24:8 Moses told the Israelites, “Behold the blood of the covenant which the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words.” In the gospel of Matthew 26:28 our Lord Jesus Christ established a New covenant with his own blood. He declares, this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” Child of God, with the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, you are covered. God will wash away your sins. He will protect and bless you in Jesus name – Amen!
SUN. JULY 30: Christology: JESUS, the Kingdom Master
We have so many masters degrees, in the case of our Lord Jesus Christ, He has one unique Master which no one has ever acquired. Jesus is the only one that has Master Degree in heavenly kingdom. That is why most of his doctrines are focused on God’s kingdom.
In the gospel of Matthew 13:44-52 our Lord Jesus Christ used various parables to illustrate the kingdom of heaven. According to him, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, like a merchant in search of fine Pearls, like a net which was thrown into the sea and gathered fish of every kind; when it was full, men drew it ashore and sat down and sorted the good into vessels but threw away the bad.
One thing that is common in these parables is that the kingdom of God is the most precious treasure. whatever we can do to get this treasure is a welcome development. Even if it means selling everything we have, we shall never regret it. Above all, since our Lord Jesus Christ is the Master of God’s kingdom the more we come close to him the more we are assured of God’s kingdom. May His name be glorified forever in Jesus name – Amen!
Inspirational Message: There may be so many treasures in the world but the kingdom treasure remains the best.
Prayer for Heavenly Treasure: Lord Jesus Christ, you taught me the importance of heaven and its treasures. You asked me to seek first the kingdom of heaven and its righteousness. Lord, bless me with heavenly treasures. Give me the grace to cherish heavenly treasures more than earthly treasure and may nothing separate me from these heavenly treasures, for you live and reign forever and ever – Amen!
Prophetic Message: Receive an Open Cheque
The Lord issued an open cheque to Solomon. He told him, “Ask what I shall give you.” God was ready to give whatever he asks of him. Solomon made the wisest request. He asked for divine wisdom. The Lord granted his heart desire. The Lord said to him, “Because you have asked this, and have not asked for yourself long life or riches or the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern what is right, behold, I now do according to your word. Behold, I give you a wise and discerning mind, so that none like you has been before you and none like you shall arise after you.” Child of God, it is your turn to receive. Today, God is offering you an open cheque. Whatever you ask of the Lord He must surely do it. He will bless you with wisdom and understanding. And it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!
MON July 31. Christology: Jesus, the Master of Parables
In Matthew 13:31-35 our Lord Jesus Christ narrated the parables of the Mustard seed and the leaven. Both parable are based on divine growth. They depict the kingdom as a seed that develop into something great. After narrating the parables, the author declares, “All this Jesus said to the crowds in parables indeed he said nothing to them without a parable. This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet “I will open my mouth in parable” I will utter what has been hidden since the foundation of the world.”
Indeed, our Lord Jesus Christ is the master of parables. All the parables he used were original and inspirational. They were all thought provoking parables. Parables are wise saying and they are for the wise. The fools cannot comprehend parables. Interesting parable like most of the ones Jesus used, enables us to remember the message.
Our Lord Jesus Christ is the best story teller. He is also the Master of parables. To him be glory and praise both now and forevermore – Amen!
Inspirational Message: Most of the great things we find in the world developed out of smaller things. You may be nobody today but tomorrow you may grow to become someone great.
The tallest building in the world today started with a single block. The steps to your greatness will always begin with a step.
Prayer for Divine Growth: Lord Jesus Christ, with the parable of the mustard seed you have taught me the importance of growth. You have also made me to understand that no matter how small I am today I could develop into someone great tomorrow. Lord, deliver me from the spirit of stagnation. Help me to grow not only materially but also spiritually. Increase my faith in you and may my growth bring glory and honour to your holy name – Amen!
Prophetic Message: ANGELS SHALL GO BEFORE YOU
The Israelites sinned against the Lord by worshipping a golden calf, Moses pleaded on their behalf. The Lord said to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book. But now go, lead the people to the place of which I have spoken to you; behold, my angel shall go before you.” Child of God, clear conscience fears no accusation. If you have not sinned against God you have nothing to fear and nothing to worry about. God is releasing his angel to go before you. As He promised in Psalm 91:11 He has place his angels in charge of you to carry you by their hands. From today, nothing shall harm you. You shall not hurt your feet against a stone and it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!
Tue. Aug 1. Christology: JESUS, the End-Time Messiah
In the gospel of Matthew 13:36-43, our Lord Jesus Christ explained the parable of the weeds to his disciples. According to him, the one who sows the seed the Son of Man; the field is the world, the good seed represents the children of the kingdom whereas the weeds are the children of the evil one. The harvest is, of course, the end time while the angels are the reapers. In this parable our Lord Jesus presents himself as the end-time Messiah who will send his angels to separate the evil ones from the righteous ones. Child of God, as long as you belong to Jesus on that day you will shine like the sun in God’s kingdom and it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!
Inspirational Message: On judgment day the righteous will be separated from the evil ones. Which group do you belong?
End-time Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, Indeed, you are our Messiah! Thank you for revealing to us how the end-time will be. You assured us that the righteous will shine like the sun. Lord, we want to be among those who will shine like the sun on that last day. Give us the grace to live a righteous life so as to share eternal life with you in your heavenly kingdom, through Christ our Lord – Amen!
Prophetic Message: The Lord will be Gracious to you
Our God is a gracious Lord. In the book of Exodus 34:6-7 the Lord revealed His true nature to Moses: “The LORD, the LORD, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy and faithfulness, keeping merciful love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin.” Indeed our God is a merciful Lord. He is loving and forgiving.
Child of God, as long as you give your life to God through Jesus Christ, the Lord will be merciful to you. He will be gracious to you. He will not be angry with you. His love for you is indeed an everlasting love. It shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!
Wed. Aug 2. Christology: JESUS, our Hidden Treasure
Jesus Christ is the treasure of our lives. He is the Most precious Being in our lives. In the gospel of Matthew 13:44-46 our Lord Jesus Christ told his disciples that “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up; then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. “ Jesus Christ is indeed a hidden treasure. Not everyone has discovered and accepted him as their Lord and Saviour. Yet, He remains the most precious treasure in the world. Child of God, there is nothing in this world that can be compared to God’s kingdom. And there is no one as precious as Christ Jesus. He is the treasure of our lives. To him be glory and praise forever and ever – Amen!
Inspirational Message: There may be so many treasures in the world but Jesus Christ remains the ultimate treasure – He is the treasure of our lives!
Prayer for Heavenly Treasure: Lord Jesus Christ, you are indeed the treasure of our lives. You are the most precious Being in my life. With you, every other thing means nothing to me. Now that you have revealed to me the heavenly treasures give the grace to spend the rest of my life searching and living for the heavenly treasures; through Christ our Lord – Amen!
Prophetic Message: Your enemies cannot withstand you
In Exodus 34:29-35 When Moses came down from Mount Sinai, he did not know that the skin of his face shone because he had been talking with God. And when Aaron and all the sons of Israel saw him, behold, the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to come near him.”
Child of God, the more you communicate with God in prayer, the more your face will reflect the glory of God. From today, your face will shine! You shall reflect the glory of God. Your enemies will not come near you. All their evil arrows will not touch you. You are secured forever in Jesus name – Amen!
Thur. Aug 3. Christology: JESUS, the Kingdom Master
Our Lord Jesus Christ is Master of heaven and earth. He is the only one that has all the information concerning heaven. As the kingdom Master most of his heavenly doctrines were encoded in parables. Among the kingdom parables is the parable of the net in the sea which he narrates in Matthew 13:47-53. As the net gathered all kinds of fish both good ones and bad ones, the work of the angels is to sort out the good from the bad.
Child of God, I hope you will not be among those who will gnash their teeth on the last day? As long as you are living a righteous life and as long as you remain in Christ Jesus, you will bring out of your treasure what is new and what is good. And it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!
Inspirational Message: On the last day, the good ones will be separated from the evil ones. Your behaviour today will determine where you will spend eternity.
Prayer for God’s Kingdom: Lord Jesus Christ, you taught us the importance of God’s kingdom, the kingdom citizens, and how we should pray for the coming of God’s kingdom. Lord, we sincerely want to be among those who will inherit your kingdom. Help us to live as kingdom citizens so as to inherit your kingdom on the last day – Through Christ our Lord – Amen!
Prophetic Message: You are Covered with God’s glory
In Exodus 40:16-21, 34-38 Moses prepared the tent of divine meeting. After preparing the tent “The cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle…. For throughout all their journeys the cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was in it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel.” The cloud and the fire represents the glory of God.
Child of God, from today your family, your ministry and even your nation will be covered with the cloud of God’s glory. The fire of the Most High God will never depart from you. The Lord will protect you with His cloud by day and He will enlighten you with His fire by night. No weapon fashioned against you shall prosper. You are secured forever in Jesus name – Amen!
