Friday, August 4, 2017 : Christology: JESUS, the Wisest Man
Our Lord Jesus Christ is the wisdom of the Most High God. He is the wisest man the world has ever known. In the gospel of Matthew 13:54-58 when he came to his own country as he taught in their synagogue, his people were astonished by his wisdom and they said, “Where did this man get this wisdom and these mighty works? Is not this the carpenter’s son?” The wisdom of our Lord Jesus Christ is not from academics, it is a divine wisdom, wisdom from above! Child of God, if you truly want to be wise then you must give your life to Jesus. The more you listen to Jesus the wiser you will become and it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!
Inspirational Message: Wisdom is wealth. The wise ones are the richest ones. If you want to be wealthy then you must be wise!
Prayer for Divine Wisdom: Lord Jesus Christ, you are the wisest man the world has ever known. You are the wisdom of the Most High God. Lord, deliver me from the spirit of foolishness. Make me wise as you are wise – Amen!
Prophetic Message: You shall Find Acceptance
In the book of Leviticus 23:10-11, the Lord said to Moses, “Say to the sons of Israel, when you come into the land which I give you and reap its harvest, you shall bring the sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest; and he shall wave the sheaf before the Lord, that you may find acceptance.” Child of God, all your offerings and sacrifices shall be accepted by the Lord. You shall find acceptance in the sight of the Lord. And it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!
Saturday, August 5, 2017: Christology: JESUS, the Most Famous Man
A famous man is a popular man, a man that is well known and well recognized. There are so many famous men in the world but none of them is as famous as our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus remains the most famous Man in the world.
In the gospel of Matthew 14:1-12, our Lord Jesus Christ became so famous that even king Herod recognized his fame. When he saw all the marvelous works Jesus performed he exclaimed, “This is John the Baptist, he has been raised from the dead; that is why these powers are at work in him.” Herod was afraid of John the Baptist not knowing that Jesus was even more powerful and more influential than John the Baptist. Child of God, your enemies will soon recognize your fame. They will soon discover that you are more than whom they thought you were. You enemies will surely panic whenever they hear your name and it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!
Inspirational Message: Those who thought you were nobody will soon discover that you are somebody precious and influential.
Prayer for Divine Fame: Lord Jesus Christ, you are the most famous Man on earth. You assured us that you will acknowledge those who acknowledge you before your Father in heaven. You are the only one that can make us famous in this world. Lord, make us famous as you are famous – Amen!
Prophetic Message: You shall Experience Jubilee of Liberty
This month is a month of celebration and jubilation. The Lord declares in the book of Leviticus 25:1, 8-17, “You shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants; it shall be a jubilee for you, when each of you shall return to his property and each of you shall return to his family.” Indeed, so many people are returning to their homes for August meetings and August return. Child of God, this month of August will be a month of liberty and a month of divine return. God will surely bring all your family members together. You shall rejoice and celebrate together. And it shall be well with you, in Jesus name – Amen!
Sunday, Aug 6, 2017: Christology: JESUS, the Transfigured Messiah
Today is the feast of the transfiguration of our Lord Jesus Christ. While Jesus was praying with Peter, James and John on Mt. Tabor where “He was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his garments became white as light.”The shining glorious face and the bright garment is what transfiguration is all about. Child of God, the more you reflect on the face of Jesus Christ the more your own face will transform into his divine face.
During the transfiguration the Father’s voice was heard saying, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.” Child of God, with Jesus Christ, you are a beloved son and daughter of God. God is ever pleased with you. Through him the world will hear your voice. And it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!
Inspirational Message: As you continue to gaze at Jesus, He will start gazing at you – and you will be saved!
The more you gaze at Jesus in prayer, your life is transformed into his divine image
Prayer for Divine Transformation: Lord Jesus Christ, you were transfigured while you were still here on earth. Heaven opened for you and you were able to hear the voice of God. Lord, we cannot do without your transformation. We need your transfiguration in our world today.
Prophetic Message: You will See the Glory of God
In the book of Daniel 7:9-10.13-14 the prophet Daniel saw the glory of God: He narrated his experience, saying, “As I looked, thrones were placed and one that was ancient of days took his seat; his clothing was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool; his throne was fiery flames, its wheels were burning fire… And to him was given dominion and glory and kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him.” Child of God, today as you celebrate the feast of transfiguration the Lord will open your eyes. You shall see the glory of the living God. Your life will never be the same. God will transform your life into His divine image. And it shall be well with you, in Jesus name – Amen!
Monday, August 7, 2017 Christology: JESUS, the Compassionate Provider
Our Lord Jesus Christ is not just our provider, He is also a compassionate man, a man who feels hungry when his followers are hungry; a man feels uncomfortable when his followers are uncomfortable, a man who is ever ready to feed the hungry crowd.
The gospel of Matthew 14:13-21 presents a true picture of Jesus Christ: “As he went ashore he saw a great throng; and he had compassion on them, and healed their sick. When it was evening, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a lonely place, and the day is now over; send the crowds away to go into the villages to buy food for themselves.” Jesus said. “They need not go away; you give them something to eat.”
When Jesus saw the crowd he did not organize second collection or fund raising instead:
1) He had compassion on them
2) He healed their sick
3) He refused to dismiss them empty-handed, as demanded by his disciples.
4) He insisted that his disciple should feed the hungry crowd
5) With five loaves and two fish he was able to feed five thousand men
Child of God, we thank God for our compassionate Saviour. As followers of Christ we need to be compassionate as our Lord Jesus Christ is compassionate and we need to share our bread, our food with the hungry ones around us. God bless you as you do so!
Inspirational Message: There is joy in sharing! The more we share our bread with the hungry the more they multiply.
Prayer for the spirit of sharing: Lord Jesus Christ, you taught us the importance of sharing. You shared everything you have with your followers: you shared your knowledge, your gifts, your food and when there was nothing else to share you gave your life for the salvation of all. Lord, give us the grace and the spirit of sharing. Make us generous as you are generous – Amen!
Prophetic Message: The Lord shall feed you with finest wheat
In Psalm 81:16 the Lord assured his people, “I would feed you with the finest of wheat, and with honey from the rock I would satisfy you.” Child of God, you will not die of hunger! Food and decent diet will never be a problem to you. As long as you are in Christ Jesus, you will surely eat to your satisfaction and it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!
Tuesday, August 8, 2017 Christology: Jesus, our Defender
Our Lord Jesus Christ did not allow anyone to influence him negatively. He was in control of his feelings. He did not allow the angry Pharisees to poison his mind against his disciples. In the gospel of Matthew 15:1-14 the Pharisees brought a charge against his disciples but Jesus defended his disciples. He even called them blind guides.
Child of God, with Jesus you are secured! He will not allow anyone to condemn you. He will defend and protect you from the hands of your enemies and it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!
Inspirational Message: Those evil charges are not for you! Jesus is ever ready to defend you.
Prayer against evil charges: Lord Jesus Christ, people brought so many charges against your disciples but you did not allow anyone to condemn any of your disciples. Lord, the evil ones are still bringing evil charges against us, your followers. Lord deliver us from all their evil charges. Defend us from the hands of our angry enemies, through Christ our Lord – Amen!
Prophetic Message: Your enemies will not go unpunished
The Lord God assured Abraham in Genesis 12:3 “I will bless those who bless you, and him who curses you I will curse. In the book of Numbers 12:1-13 Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses… the anger of the Lord was kindled against them… behold, Miriam was leprous, as white as snow. And Aaron turned towards Miriam, and behold, she was leprous.” Child of God, what happened to Miriam and Aaron will soon happen to all those who are conspiring against you. Those who dig a pit for you will surely fall into their own pit. No weapon fashioned against you shall prosper. You are secured in Jesus name – Amen!
Wednesday, August 9, 2017 Christology: JESUS, the Humble Wise Man
Humility is the surest part to wisdom. A humble man is a wise man. The gospel of Matthew 15:21-28 presents our Lord Jesus Christ as a humble wise man. As Jesus engaged in debate with the Canaanite woman he did not stick to his own position, as a wise man he was able to acknowledge the wisdom in his opponent.
Jesus told the woman, “It is not fair to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.”The woman did not pick offense, instead she reminded him, “Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.” Then Jesus answered her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you desire.”And her daughter was healed instantly.
Child of God, no matter your tribe or nationality Jesus came into this world because of you. If you humble yourself before him, you will receive your healing, your favour, and your blessings and it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!
Inspirational Message: The wisest ones are not those who win the argument but those who recognizes the wisdom in others
- With humility and patience you can get whatever you want from God and even from your fellow human beings
Prayer for Humility and Patience: Lord Jesus Christ, most of those you favoured were those who were humble and patient. Our world is indeed an inpatient world, a world were people so much believe in wait-and-take. But we know, that without patience we cannot follow you. Lord give us the spirit, the patience and humility. And may you grant us our deepest heart desire, through Christ our Lord – Amen!
Prophetic Message: You shall possess your possession
In Numbers 13:1-35 majority of the spies that were sent to the promised land came back with a negative report “But Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once, and occupy it; for we are well able to overcome it.” Child of God, don’t allow anybody to discourage you. As long as God is on your side, you shall overcome your enemies and you will surely possess your possession, in Jesus name – Amen!
Thursday, August 10, 2017 Christology: JESUS, the Master of fruitfulness
Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Most fruitful Man while He was on earth. He was not just fruitful as individual he ensured that his followers become as fruitful as he was. In the gospel of John 15:8 He told his followers, “By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be my disciples.” If you are not fruitful you cannot even be a disciple of Jesus Christ. In the gospel of John 12:24-26 our Lord Jesus Christ told his followers the secret of fruitfulness. He said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.” The downfall of a man is not the end of his life. Child of God, as long as you are making effort to be fruitful, your failure will lead to your success. Your downfall will even lead to your greatness. All the stumbling blocks on your way will turn to your stepping stones and it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!
Inspirational Message: On your journey to your destiny/greatness, failure is never considered the end of the journey but the beginning of another successful journey
Prayer for Divine Success: Lord Jesus Christ, you were the most fruitful Man on earth. You succeeded even when you fell down three times under the weight of the cross. Lord, there are so many obstacles on my way to success. I cannot succeed without your grace. Lord, give me the grace of perseverance. Even when I fall give me the courage to persevere till the end and may your name be glorified forever in Jesus name – Amen!
Prophetic Message: You shall reap bountifully
In his second letter to the Corinthians 9:6-10 St. Paul wrote, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.” Child of God, what you sow and how you sow it matters. As you sow bountifully you will surely reap bountifully. And as St. Paul declares, He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your resources and increase the harvest of your righteousness. Child of God, the Lord will increase the harvest of your marital life. He will increase the harvest of your academics and the harvest of your business centre. He will also increase the harvest of your farmland. And it shall be well with you, in Jesus name – Amen!
