BENIN CITY – The Founder and Spiritual Leader, House of Favour International Church, (HOFIC), Rev. Lucky Onaiwu, has tasked Christians all over the world to imbibe the culture of appreciating God for what He has done in their lives.

He gave the administration, during the 2017 Annual Harvest/Thanksgiving Service of the Church, held in Benin City.
He urged Christians to learn to give thanks to God at all times in order to achieve expected results in life.
According to him, from January to December is not an easy journey as not very many people that enter this year attain this December.”

In his sermon titled “Let us not forget” The Goodness of God with text taken from the Books of Psalm 103:1-22, John 11:35 and John 12:1-7 respectively, Rev. Onaiwu emphasized appreciating God, adding that it brings about positive change in the lives of the people.

He described thanksgiving is a bond with God “For the betterment of now, tomorrow and future.”

He maintained that “one is alive, children are alive, wife, husband and relatives are alive without being admitted in the hospital bed, calls for appreciation, whether there is money or no money,” while urging Christians to use the Harvest thanksgiving to pray for the country and leaders to enable them discharge their responsibilities in line with the commandments of God.

This year’s Annual Harvest Thanksgiving has as its theme “Harvest of Open Doors.” Was attended by notable members of the society, including Rev. (Dr.) Anthony Osemwekhae, Chief (Mrs.) Vero Igbe, and Elder Ehi Egharevba, former Chairman, Egor Local Government Council.

Others were the mother of the church founder, Deaconness (Dr.) Felicia Onaiwu, Deaconess (Dr.) Ayo Abu, Mrs. Olaye, Lecturer, Tayo Akpata University of Education, Ekiadolor, members of Lovely matron International Club, members of Christ Apostolic Church of God Mission, as well as staff and management of HOFIC Academy.
