Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, Oba of Benin has felicitated with Christians on the occasion of Christmas, marking the birth of Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world.

In a press release by the Chief Press Secretary to the Benin Monarch, Comrade Desmond Agbama, Oba Ewuare II admonished Christians to use the period to reflect on the teaching of Jesus Christ and endeavour to be Christ-like in words, action and character.

The Oba of Benin reminds Christians of the virtues of Jesus Christ which include love, tolerance, forgiveness and peace.

His Royal Majesty therefore admonished Christians to use the period of Christmas to forgive and love thy neighbour as thyself.

Oba Ewuare II said as Christians celebrate Christmas they should also remember the less-privileged in the society and extend hands of fellowship and goodwill to them through their pandora boxes of gift.

While wishing Christians a merry Christmas, Oba Ewuare II pray God and the Ancestors to grant everyone a glorious and prosperous New Year.
