Lagos – Police detectives in Lagos have smatched a syndicate that specializes in harboring pregnant ladies and later sale their babies after delivery without the consent of the young mothers.

The syndicate, which include a couple identified as Adeola Adebayo and his wife Binta Adebayo were said to have been arrested during a raid of their “Baby factor” located at 1_ Treasure Palace Close, Off Hand Fair bus stop Ikotun by operatives attacked to Federal Special Anti Robbery Squad (FSARS).

During the raid, three pregnant young ladies identified as Favour Osikwemeh age 19 years, Precious Emmanuel, aged 27 years and Onome Oputi, aged 25 years, with seven and nine months pregnancy respectively were said to have been rescued from the baby.manufacturing factory.

The Commissioner of Police Lagos State Command, Edgal Imohimi confirmed the arrest Monday while parading some criminal suspects at the command headquarter.

Edgal explained that the suspects usually harbour young pregnant girls until they deliver their babies after which the babies are taken from them.

During the raid, three young pregnant girls were rescued namely, Favour Osikwemeh “f” age 19 years, 7 months pregnant, Precious Emmanuel “f” age 27 years, 7 months pregnant and Onome Oputi “f” age 25 years, 9 months pregnant “.

The police commissioner said all the suspects will be handed over to the National Agency for Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) for care and possible prosecution.
