Lagos – A notorious criminal, one Abdulrazak Kareem popularly known as Falapa alleged to have been involved in many killings, gang war and destruction of property in Lagos Island has been arrested by the policemen attached to the Adeniji Adele police station

Police sources said Kareem who is alleged to be the leader of the Okepopo boys was arrested on Friday after months of fleeing.

It would be recalled that sometimes in September 2017, a gang war broke out between the Okepopo boys and the Onola boys which residents attributed to supremacy in the community.

The supremacy war which lasted for more than a week allegedly led to the murder of six persons from both gangs while property worth millions of naira were destroyed.

Efforts to get the reaction of the Lagos state police spokesperson SP Chike Otti were not possible but a source who requested anonymity said. ” Yes Falapa was arrested. Policemen from the Adeniji Adele police division arrested him on Friday” .

It was also gathered that Falapa was earlier arrested by SARS Oyo State for illegal possession of stolen gun and was bailed out with N5m.

Also, a source yesterday disclosed that efforts are being made by Falapa bosses and friends to gather another N5m for his bail from Lagos SARS as being demanded by the Police.
