BENIN CITY – Days after Merit Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo state chapter honoured the Coordinator General of Edo Civil Society Organisations (EDOCSO), Leftist Omobude Agho, a foremost Fashion and modeling company, Afro Creation International has again honoured the human rights activist.
The awards which were attributed to the network’s dedication and commitment to uplifting the rights of citizens, was conferred on Leftist Agho in the space of one week at different occasions in Benin city, the Edo state capital.
According to the recipient, “the award has mainly shown that people are watching and seeing our activities and are finding ways to support and encourage the struggle, though my name is what is written on the awards but its actually a Weldon message to EDOCSO and the left movement of Nigeria”.
The Coordinator General who expressed appreciation to the entities for the acknowledgement of the sacrifices of civil society community, added that, the awards will serve as a check and motivation to do more.
Meanwhile, President, Faculty of Peace Organization, an affiliate of EDOCSO, Comr Kelly Osunbor was among the awardees by Afro Creation International, in recognition of his imparts towards engendering an egalitarian society.
