BENIN CITY – The Christ Chosen Church of God (CCCG), Ihinmwinrin 1 Branch yesterday held its 2019 Annual Harvest/Thanksgiving Service with the charge that christians in Nigeria should cultivate virtue of willingness and o r bedience to God’s word.
The annual christian ritual of the church christened “Harvest of Devine Restoration” attracted christians and religious leaders from across the state and beyond.
In his homily, the officiating Pastor, Charles Oduwa said that when christians are not willing, they can not be obedient to God’s word.
Pastor Oduwa who took his lesson from Isaiah 1-19 advised the congregation to always show appreciation to God by way of thanksgiving especially during harvest period.
Pastor Oduwa who is in charge of Ihinmwinrin 2 Branch of the CCCG averred that obedience is key to obtaining God’s blessings.
Speaking to newsmem during the event, the host Pastor, Lucky Ossai advised christians to continue to respect God, stressing that a good child must know and embrace his father’s directives.
Pastor Ossai while describing the event as day of Joy said harvest is a period of showing appreciation to God for His Grace upon mankind.
High points of the ceremony was the individual family Thanksgiving as the congregation was treated to ear- pleasing and soul-touching Melody christians lyrics by the Church Choir.
