When the Nigerian laws against bi-sexuality, homosexuality, lesbianism, gay and similar lifestyles were adopted and placed on the statute books in this country, the aim of the law makers were to discourage outlandish immorality and curb the scourge of homosexual behaviours which was beginning to taint our society, devalue our communities and concerted efforts were made by civil society organizations and other social crusaders to stop the madness that was gradually turning nations into Sodom and Gomorrah and causing their moral frameworks to disintegrate. To a large extent, it cannot be argued that the law did not instill the fear of God/Allah into the hearts of those engaged in this absurdity, rather, it drove many Nigerian gay, lesbians, Bi-sexual and others to Europe, America & Canada seeking refuge as our land and nation was no longer conducive to filth, immorality and debauchery. Many found safe havens in countries where such behaviours are welcome and condoned, with all
the legal backings to boot.

Recently, a source, under the condition of anonymity who claim to be hackers told The Nigerian Observer that they have hacked into the IT system of Duncan Lewis Solicitors law firm in London and demanded ransome else they will circulate the files taken. We verified this information by carrying out some research and found that it was
available online and on Duncan Lewis solicitors website and others.

We were made aware of one Nigerian bi-sexual man, Scott Igie, known for his immoral lifestyle in the UK who was among those whose files were hacked at Duncan Lewis Solicitors. The hackers claim they now have access to scott Igie’s personal files as well as that of many other clients of the firm.

The Nigerian born Scott Igie, is a United Kingdom based bi-sexual man who is currently seeking asylum in the UK in a bid to avoid justice in Nigeria.

Scott Igie
Perhaps it is time for Scott Igie to come back home and face justice. He knows that gay, bi-sexual and lesbianism relationships is illegal in this land, yet he and others carry on this disgusting act in the United Kingdom, disgracing us and shaming the nation. This man should be brought back to Nigeria to face the full wrath of the law. We urge the government to make an example of him and seek for his return to face justice. Why not?

It is no exaggeration to say that Igie is one of those people who debase our upright moral standing among the comity of nations and he and others like him should be named and shamed for bringing the Nigerian name to such ridicule. Shame on him and on many like him. People like Scott do not represent us – no! Our ancestors will shudder in their graves to see their sons sleeping with men and their daughters sleeping with fellow women. Let the nation awaken and decry these immoral rank and file of degenerates, shaming our nation. Enough
is enough!

If Scott Igie and others like him think they can hide their LGBT status from the Nigerian authorities that will be a lie. Whilst we can not confirm if they are truly hackers or not, we strongly condemn such an unlawful act. We do not endorse hacking. However, we believe in naming and shaming all those Nigerians making our nation look foolish
and our laws seem ineffective and without teeth or power.

We will continue to follow and expose him and others like him. Let it be known that we do not apologise for this article or for our laws against bi-sexuality, homosexuality, lesbianism, gay relationships – period. We as Nigerians have a duty to uphold our laws.
