LAGOS – The Lagos State Government has discharged no fewer than 49 coronavirus patients from its isolation centers after recovering from the virus in the state.

Of the 49 cases discharged by the State Government, 28 were females while the rest were males who have spent their time at different isolation centers in the state.

The State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, disclosed this while briefing newsmen in the state on Wednesday on gains recorded in the fight against coronavirus in the state.

Sanwo-Olu said: “28 females and 21 males including a Greek national were today discharged from our Isolation facilities at Yaba & Onikan to reunite with their families.

“Among the 49 patients, 18 spent their times at the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) in Yaba while the other 31 were treated at the Onikan Isolation Centre.

“All these patients have fully recovered after testing negative to covid-19 in two consecutive readings. And with this, the number of patients successfully managed and discharged in Lagos is now 187”.
