Obaseki felicitates with Oba of Benin on birth of new princess

BENIN CITY – The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has congratulated the Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, the Oba of Benin and the Royal Palace of Benin Kingdom on the birth of a new princess on Monday, October 20, 2020.

The governor, in a statement, felicitated with the Oba of Benin and the palace on the safe delivery of the infant princess, expressing gratitude to God that the baby and her mother, Queen Owamagbe, are in good health.

According to him, “I heartily congratulate the Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, the Oba of Benin and the Royal Palace of Benin Kingdom on the birth of a new princess. It is even more remarkable that she was born on the birthday and coronation anniversary of our revered monarch, the Oba of Benin.

“I pray that the birth of the princess ushers in a new dawn of growth, prosperity and progress in the kingdom. I also pray that the new princess grows in wisdom, knowledge, understanding, good health.

“Hearty congratulations, once again, to our royal father, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II and the Royal Palace. Oba ghato ‘kpere, Ise!”
