BENIN CITY – Bendel insurance FC players and officials yesterday resumed duties as they were seen training at the Crescent Club Football Field at Iriri-Ogba in Benin City at the early hours of the day.
The Benin Arsenal proceeded on Christmas celebration holiday on 23rd December 2021 and have returned to the field to intensify preparation for the on coming Nigeria’s second tier football season scheduled to kick off on January 16.
Speaking after the early morning training, the Technical Manager of the Benin Arsenal coach Bernard Ogbe expressed happiness over their return from the two week break,saying tbat he was happy with his players’ response.
” i am happy to be back to work and I appreciate my players’ response. We want to seriously prepare for the oncoming football season after long absence of League games. We hope to kickoff league action on January 16 as scheduled by NNL and the Federal Ministry of sports. ” Ogbe stressed.
Meanwhile ,the coaching crew of Bendel Insurance FC has promoted outstanding Insurance Feeders team’s Efe Aghama to the main team for the oncoming football season.
Efe Aghama aka Joker who scored the winning goal for Insurance Feeders to win the National Under 17 football championship tagged,’Stephen Keshi Football Championship on the 5th of December, 2020 has really impressed the Benard Ogbe led coaching crew since early 2019 LaLiga Under 15 and when he graduated to U-17 where he scored the winning goal against a highly tactical Flight FC of Benue State.
The Secretary of the club Charles Ihimekpen while welcoming the players and officials back to work,announced that the club has fixed weekend for new year party for the team .
