BENIN CITY – His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, Oba of Benin has nominated the Enogie of Egbaen, His Royal Highness, Edomwonyi Iduozee to be His Royal Majesty’s Representative at the South-South Monarch’s Forum.

The Enogie of Egbaen who was in the palace to thank His Royal Majesty for the appointment told newsmen that this is the first of its kind appointment in Benin kingdom and that the Oba also gave some of the Enigie precious gifts because they are always in the palace during functions.

While pledging his loyalty to the Oba, the Enogie thanked the Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, for nominating him to represent the Palace.

Some selected Enigie in Benin Kingdom accompanied the Enogie of Egbaen to show Appreciation and for the Royal gifts to the Enigie for their commitment to Palace functions at all times.

He said the Enigie have pledged to continue to serve His Royal Highness and to remain loyal at all times.

The reception was in full compliance to the Federal Government directive on COVID-19 protocols.

In another development, His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, Oba of Benin assured His Royal Highness, Obi Agbogidi Nduka, Obi of Issele-Uku of the Palace enormous support in ensuring a peaceful and successful reign.

Earlier, His Royal Highness, Obi of Issele-Uku informed the Benin Monarch that he and his Chiefs were in his Palace on a thank-You visit to the Benin Palace for the generosity, kindness and support Issele-Uku people have received from the Oba of Benin.

Thereafter, the Obi of Issele-Uku pledged their unalloyed loyalty to the Benin throne.

Highlight of the visit was the display of some traditional items by Obi of Issele-Uku to be taken to Issele-uku.
