… urges public to be wary of solicitations from handle

BENIN CITY – The Edo State First Lady, Mrs. Betsy Obaseki has said that her Facebook handle has been breached by criminals, warning against engaging or responding to solicitations from the account.

In a statement, Mrs. Obaseki said security agencies are on the tail of the hackers and that those behind the attack would be brought to book and prosecuted according to the extant laws of the land.

She noted, “This is to inform the general public that the Facebook account of the Edo State First Lady, Mrs. Betsy Obaseki has been breached by criminals.”

“While efforts are ongoing to recover the account, the public is advised to be wary of engagements and solicitations from the account so as not to fall prey to the unscrupulous elements behind the attack,” Mrs. Obaseki added.

According to her, “Security agencies have been briefed and are closing in on the hackers, who will be dealt with according to the provisions of extant laws of the land.

The First Lady said her office would update the public on the status of its social media handles to intimate them on the verified and authentic handles for communication.
