OnePort 365 has introduced a new technology that will ease the way of doing business in the import and export market, especially in the area of freight forwarding across Nigeria, Africa and the rest of the world.
This was made known recently in a media parley by the management team of OnePort 365 at its office in Lagos.
According to the co-founder of the organization, Mr. Hio Sola-Usidame, “OnePort 365 is a digital freight management start-up channel to seamless containerised freight management that has streamlined the trade process for African cross-border traders.
“We are aware of the challenges involved when dealing with the import and export of goods from this part of the world. We deal with a lot of exporters daily and the process can be quite complex. You have to deal with different intermediaries, different channels and constantly communicate across other lines including emails, phone calls, and various platforms have been able to streamline that process for cross border trade using technology”.
He pointed out that, the organization’s purpose is to usher in a radical change that enhances Africa’s participation in global trade with a complete systemic transformation.
He also said that the organization has developed a freight management platform that integrates containerised freight processes in a simple, orderly and efficient format optimised for ease, powered by technology and built for Africa.”
While answering question on the problem of sustainability and continuity, Mr. Usidame said that, there has been a forced adaptation to digitisation across the globe. “That is where we see this revolution happening and being sustained for an extended period. To a large extent, there is a digitalisation drive occurring across the globe using technology”.
He also pointed out that the team is in active conversations to drive digitisation and receiving fantastic feedback from the government.
“We are building an unprecedented operating system for trade in Africa. We see this as a new way for cross-border trade. As long as we have everyone on board, we are quite confident we will make this work, he added.
