EKPOMA – The Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, Edo State has matriculated 11,538 fresh students admitted for the 2020/2021 Academic Session.

Acting vice chancellor of the university Prof. Benson Osadolor, also during the matriculation ceremony, launched the celebration of AAU 40th Anniversary.

Prof. Osadolor disclosed that only 5,226 out of the 11,538 admitted students had paid their school fees.

The acting vice chancellor advised them to shun evil associations and be focused, diligent, and committed to their studies, reminding them that society expects a lot from them.

“You are to pay attention to the molding of your character as your degree certificate will be awarded to you for being sound in character and learning.

” Do not fail society. Do not fail the state. Do not fail your families and above all do not fail your selves. Be focused on the vision and mission of your studentship.

“Do not be led astray by bad friends; use the Social Media with wisdom and shun all evil associations”, he advised.

He expressed delight that harmony had been restored in AAU after several months of prolonged strike, adding that the Special Intervention Team set up by the Visitor was working to achieve the vision of the visitor, which is to give the university global recognition.

The Acting Registrar of the university, Mr. Edward Aihevba, while administering the matriculation oath to the matriculating students, made them among other things, pledge to respect the university authorities, shun membership of cult groups and observe all rules and regulations of the university.
