Benin City- Nigerians have been called upon to unite to move the nation forward and any one calling for war should be regarded as an enemy.

The call made by Elder Peter Otamere Eguavoen (Rtd) in a statement issued in Benin City, noted that those who did not see or who were not born during the Nigeria/Biafra civil war do not know what is called war.

“The way forward is unity, togetherness, love and for Nigerians to stop looting, money laundry, bribery and corruption. Please let us unite and take this great country forward,” he noted.

According to him, “the country has become a war zone in the world and recently we were rated as the third terrorist country in the world. The Northerners are trading with us because the Niger Delta States are benefitting from the amnesty and the Ministry of Niger Delta.

The Northerners now decided to take their share of our hard earned money, through tax, levies and monies being collected from our poor drivers and traders.”

Elder Eguavoen stated that it is time that the National Assembly members, Local Government Council chairmen and councilors should be placed on allowances because this will discourage looters from politics in the country.

He therefore advised President Muhammadu Buhari, Governors, National Assembly Members, Local government chairmen and Political leaders to lead the nation well and stop showing bad examples to the youths coming up to be leaders of tomorrow.
