Benin City-The Performing Musicians Association Of Nigeria, PMAN, Edo State Chapter, have disclosed that it is planning a big tribute concert that will have performing artists drawn from within and outside Edo state to perform in honour of late music maestro, Prof. Victor Efosa Uwaifo during the burial ceremony, fixed for October 14.
According to the statement released by the PRO of the entertainers Comrade Courage Osa Asia, Edo PMAN led by Comrade WILLY EGHE NOVA, has put everything in place to organise a mega tribute in honour of late Sir VICTOR UWAIFO.
The statement added that prominent musicians and cultural groups from within and outside Edo state will be featuring.
The Edo PMAN PRO also disclosed that the Delta State PMAN Governor, TISIO- TISIO, has assured his Edo counterparts EGHE NOVA of cooperation in giving SIR VICTOR UWAIFO a befitting burial.
The Edo PMAN said they are very happy that Edo state government has done them great honour with by planning state burial for the late music icon.
Meanwhile, the Edo PMAN GOVERNOR, COMRADE EGHE NOVA, has temporarily suspended outdoors performances by all musicians, cultural groups and DEEJAYS in Edo State on Wednesday, 13TH October, 2021 (MUSICIANS DAY) in honour of late SIR VICTOR UWAIFO
He said that Sir Professor Victor Efosa Uwaifo, Ph. D. MON.JP did Edo State, Africa and the entire world proud with his artistic wizardry while alive. “We invite everyone to join us as we celebrate the exit of the world music legend.” He said.
