JARA Stores, Nigeria’s leading discount outlet, on Wednesday, opened its second store to residents in Edo State, promising to serve Edo people with exciting discounts and promos, as the state’s retail sector opens for more investment.

The new store is the second to be opened in Edo State on the back of a favourable business environment by the Governor Godwin Obaseki-led administration that has attracted local and international retail giants into the state.

JARA stores in Edo State is operated under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Edo Development and Property Agency (EDPA) and EDLP Nigeria Limited.

Store Manager, JARA Stores, Osamede Igbinosa, who spoke during the official commissioning and opening ceremony of the new store in BDPA, Ugbowo, Benin City, said that the new outlet is meant to serve the people and provide discount sales to shoppers.

According to her, “JARA, as we all know, is the first discount store in South-South. It has improved the economy of the state a whole lot. JARA has employed people both indigenes and non-indigenes. It has actually improved and affected the economy positively.

“It is a discount store that enables you to enjoy discounts when you buy more. The more you buy, the more you save. For now, we are doing a huge promo for bulk buyers, retailers, and wholesalers. When you come with our discount card, it enables you to enjoy promos and discounts.”
