USEN OVIA-SOUTH-WEST) – Activities for the 3rd and 4th convocation ceremony of Edo State Polytechnic, Usen in Ovia-South-West Local Government Area of Edo State for the award of ND, HND and presentation of awards/ confernment of honourary fellowship awards on some distinguished Nigerians will begin tomorrow with a Career Hotspot Seminar to be delivered by Ukimebo Dare.

According to the statement, on Wednesday October 27, 2021, there would be a Convocation Lecture by the Director/Chief Executive, Centre for Atmospheric Research, National Space Research and Development Agency, Abuja, Professor Babatunde Rabiu, on the topic, “Dependent Technologies as Panocea to National Insecurity and Corruption Menace.”
There will also be the unveiling of the Sir Chief Dr. Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion Administrative building at the polytechnic.
On Thursday October 28, 2021, will feature award of ND, HND certificate and presentation of awards/ confernment of honourary fellowship awards on some distinguished Nigerians.
The Executive Secretary of the National Board for Technical Education ( NBTE), Professor Idris Bugaje will deliver the Convocation Address while the Director General/ Chief Executive Officer, National Space Research and Development Agency, Abuja, Dr. Haliliu will deliver the Convocation Lecture at 11am.
Theme of the lecture is, “Descriptive Technology as a Panacea to Sustainable Development in Nigeria.
The statement by the Registrar further indicated that all activities would hold at the polytechnic main auditorium.
