BENIN CITY-The recently posted commissioner of police to Edo State CP Abutu Yaro has assumed duty in Benin City.

He assumed duty on Monday, April 11, 2022 as the 44th commissioner of police in Edo State.

The newly deployed CP succeeded CP Philip Ogbadu who retired from the Nigeria Police Force, last month.

CP Abutu Yaro pledged to discharge his duty in the state with utmost professionalism.

He solicited for the cooperation of members of the public towards effective and efficient policing.

He has served in many major capacities which include former CP Imo and Zamfara States.

Prior to his recent deployment to Edo State, he was the CP Provost Marshal, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
