Edo state House of Assembly has set machinery in motion towards the peaceful and amicable resolution of the lingering crisis at the state owned Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma.

The legislature in a statement endorsed by the Deputy Speaker, Rt Hon Roland Asoro, said the house had mandated the house committee on education to immediately step into the matter with a view to finding lasting solutions to the issues involved.

The Deputy Speaker appealed to all stakeholders to avail the committee of all memoranda on the issues at stake, while all the stakeholders in the school environment were also advised to come up with memos on their grievances concerning the school.

Rt Hon Roland Asoro urged all aggrieved parties to sheath their swords while the assembly worked out a lasting solution to the lingering crisis in the school.

The state house of assembly called on all concerned to allow peace reign with a view to enabling academic activities continue in the institution uninterrupted.

The Deputy Speaker however appealed to staff and students to remain calm as the legislature was poised to proffering lasting solutions to the crisis.
