IDAH (KOGI)- A sigh of relief came the way of three overall best students of St. Peter’s College, Dickson Memorial College and Commercial College, all in Idah Local Government Area of Kogi State as the NBM of Africa, Worldwide, through its Idah Sub-Zone, under Kogi Zone, recently offset their school fees.

Addressing, the school management and students in a separate visit to the schools, the president of Idah Sub-Zone, Mr. Joseph Ephraim Achimagu, said the students were carefully selected from JSSII to JSSIII based on their recent performance.

Achimugu said as a way of giving back to the society, the non-governmental organisation deemed it necessary to embark on the humanitarian gesture as part of its corporate social Responsibilities with a view to impacting positively on the lives of the students.

He viewed the event which he asserted was in line with the organisation’s aim and objectives as a pointer to keying into the vision of Body Of Founders (BOF) of the organisation premised on social purpose and positive actions that would guarantee egalitarian society.

Also speaking, a member of legislative arm, Mr. Udale Jiya admonished the students to take their studies seriously, if they want to excel and become the future ambassadors.

Advising the students to always see themselves as leaders of tomorrow, Jiya reminded them that there was always reward for hard work, hence the need to take their education more seriously.

Responding, the Vice Principal, St. Peter’s College, Idah, Mr. John Ameh lauded the organisation’s initiative, saying that its drive for community advancement and academic excellence no doubt, would bring about positive change in the society.

He said the gesture would further spur other students to up their games.

The Vice Principal Admin described the gesture as noble, adding that it will go a long way towards encouraging the students on the need to work harder in their academic pursuit.

The Principal, Dickson Memorial College, Umaru Achimugu Jonathan praised NBM for finding the citadel of learning worthy to be beneficiary of the gesture.

Jonathan charged the organisation to make the event an annual one and prayed God to continue to guide its members both home and abroad.

Similarly, the Principal of Idah Secondary Commercial College, Mohammed Odoma while lauding the organisation for the gesture said it will spur competition among students.
