Work Begins On Iviukwe Borehole Project

By JAMES TAKPE

AGENEBODE-Work has commenced on the Iviukwe borehole water project approved by the state government for the community in Etsako East Local Government Area.

Reports say the contractor handling the project has moved in men and material to project site.

A check by The NIGERIAN OBSERVER revealed that the sitting of the project in the area has brought joy to members of the community as residents have continued to applaud the state government’s decision.

Chairman of the council, Chief Stanley Odidi in a chat with newsmen recently had described the gesture as desirable.

He said the sinking of the bore-hole in the community no doubt would draw government closer to the people.

He noted that after completion it would bring immense benefit to residents and forestall air-borne diseases that ravage people due to intake of unclean water.

He commended the state government for the project stressing that the gesture will inspire his administration in its efforts towards enhancing the well-being of people in the local government area.
