AS parts of efforts to ensure that All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates emerge winners in the next month general election, the people of Etsako Central Local Government Area, Edo State have been urged to ensure they cast their votes for the party candidates.
Chief Steve Alao, the Yerima 1 and chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) made the appeal in Fugar, the administrative headquarters of the Local Government Area during the continuation of APC wards campaign rally in the locality.
Chief Alao said APC is the only party that cares for the people, adding that with the development that has taken place in Edo, Lagos and other APC controlled states, it is obvious that the party still has more to offer the people if they all support and vote for the APC candidates, from House of Assembly to the presidency in the February general elections.
Addressing the party faithful and supporters at Ward 5 in Iraokor, the SUBEB boss said the state governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has approved the construction of a new modern primary school for the people for which land has already been provided by the community.
According to him, he said work would commence at the project site and therefore asked the people to reciprocate the good gesture by voting enmasse for APC candidates.
While cautioning the people to be wary of those sugar-coated politicians who have nothing to offer, he however appealed to the people to ensure that they collect their permanent voter cards (PVCs) as that is the only way they would be allowed to vote during the elections.
