BENIN CITY –  Face to Face Community Empowerment Initiative, a Benin based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO)has appealed to the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, to immediately release of N220 billion which was allegedly made available by the President for the use of Amalgamated Cooperative Societies of Edo State.
The NGO also urged that the funds be immediately disbursed to the banks and
financial institutions as earlier directed by the President for onward release to the beneficiaries.
Besides, the NGO wants the Ministry of Trade and Investment and the other agencies involved to carry the stakeholders along in the disbursement process which should be properly coordinate.
The NGO Coordinator, curtis Ugbo and Secretary, Idubor Peggy said “the awareness process of the said loan should be well publicized because a lot of Nigerians who are supposed to be partakers in theloan are not aware.
Such people according to them included the “economically active persons with
disabilities in Nigeria,” .
They therefore sought immediate action on the matter in the interest of the beneficiaries.
