Javier Zanetti is set to welcome Roberto Baggio, Paolo Maldini and Carles Puyol to San Siro to play in a charity match in May.
Milan will host Expo 2015, a world fair which will this year be based on the credo “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life” and encouraging the embracing of technology, innovation, culture, traditions and creativity and how they relate to food and diet.
As part of Expo 2015, there will be a football match held at the San Siro Stadium for a charity event dedicated to children’s nutrition.
Zanetti will be the ambassador for the event and welcomes the participation of the best past and present players of AC Milan and Inter and some of the most important football clubs across the world who share a connection with the Italian city.
The likes of Puyol, Baggio and Maldini have already confirmed that they will attend the Match for Expo, which will be held on May 4 and Goal will be an official media partner for the forthcoming game.
Zanetti and Franco Baresi have spoken of their love and admiration for the city of Milan as well as San Siro ahead of the event in a video produced by Tracce.tv and Turismo Milano.
