BENIN CITY – The Chairman of the Butchers’ Union of Nigeria, State chapter, Comrade (Pastor) Ikponmwosa Orhue, has hailed the president-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari on his victory in the just concluded presidential election held across the country.
Comrade Orhue described the victory as a monumental progress towards sustaining democratic process in Nigeria in particular and indeed Africa.
He said that the victory has come to salvage the devastating situation in the country, pointing out that the country experienced a stupendous achievement under the government of Gen. Buhari, while he was a military head of state about 32 years ago.
Orhue expressed optimism that Buhari would replicate the save feat as a civilian president.
He urged Nigerians across the country, irrespective of ethnic, religious, political party and social affiliation to pray for him and support Buhari’s noble cause to enable him succeed in the task of taking the country to greater height of good governance.
The Butchers’ boss, therefore congratulate Gen. Buhari and all APC members in the country for their victory, just as he charged the president-elect to see his victory as a challenge to unite Nigerians and consolidate in the existing relationship.
On the forthcoming State House of Assembly and governorship elections across the country, Orhue urged electorate to vote for APC candidates.
