The Archbishop, Bendel Province of the Church of Nigerian (Anglican Communion), The Most Rev’d Friday Imaekhai has lauded the Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole for his sterling administrative qualities which has resulted in the rapid development of infrastructure in the state.
He however begged the Governor to return Mission schools to their original owners.
The Cleric gave the commendation while speaking at the 1st Session of the Fifth Synod of Esan Diocese of the Anglican Communion at St. Andrew’s Cathedral, Ekpoma.
He praised the governor for his response to the infrastructural development challenge of the state, resulting in the construction of roads and rehabilitation of schools and colleges across the State.
He expressed gratitude to the Governor for the support and assistance to the diocese, praying God to bless him with good health and more wisdom to pilot the affairs of the state
He said: “we commend Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State for the construction of roads and rehabilitation of schools and colleges. We request that colleges owned by missions that were taken over by government be returned to them”, he stated.
He also begged the governor to tar major roads in Edo Central Senatorial District of the State, including the access road to the Archbishop’s Palace, located in the Ujoelen Grammar School axis of Ekpoma, Esan West Local Government Area.
He expressed delight that the impasse that had hitherto existed in State House of Assembly has been brought to an end with the election of new members, expressing optimism that the Governor having majority in the House would deliver on all his campaign promises.
