BENIN CITY – The Palace of the Benin Monarch, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolor, Oba Erediauwa has suspended the Uheluyi N’Ihogbe of Benin, Chief P. Ogiesoba Osagie.
A statement signed by six top-ranking Benin Chiefs on behalf of the Palace indicates that the suspension is as a result of alleged anti-Palace activities and with immediate effect.
The Palace release, dated June 25, 2015, a copy of which was made available to The NIGERIAN OBSERVER is signed by the Iyase of Benin, Chief S.O.U. Igbe, the Oliha of Benin, Chief Edionwe Oliha, the Eribo of Benin, Chief Oviasogie, the Esere of Benin, Chief Stanley O. Obamwonyi, the Ine of Benin, Chief E.U. Uzamere and the Eguezigbon of Benin, Chief Osemwota Obamwonyi.
