BENIN CITY – the Crown Prince, of Benin Kingdom and Edaiken N’Uselu, His Royal Highness (Ambassador) Eheneden Erediauwa has urged lawmakers of the Edo State House of Assembly to eschew conflicts and rather embrace dialogue in the resolution of conflicts without getting to the public domain.
HRH Eheneden Erediauwa gave the advice when members of the State House of Assembly, led by the Speaker, Rt. Hon (Mrs.) Elizabeth Ativie paid him condolence visit over the Benin Monarch, His Royal Majesty, Oba Erediauwa who joined the ancestors recently.
He said “in the interest of the people who hold you in high esteem, efforts must be made at all times to sustain peace in promoting a conducive atmosphere that will engender masses – or united policies through effective legislature..I will do everything to justify the confidence reposed on me, but I urge you not to rest on your oars. All hands must be on deck to protect our highly rich cultural heritage.
“For us to always be in order envy of all we need, your prayers and support to continue to succeed,” the Crown Prince added.”
Speaking earlier, the Speaker Hon. (Mrs.) Elizabeth Ativie said that the Lawmakers were present at the palace of the Crown Prince to commiserate with the Royal family on the transition of the Benin Monarch.
Rt. Hon Ativie said that the House will sadly be without the unifying words of advice the highly revered monarch proffered which continually binded the Lawmakers, even in difficult moments.
According to her, they will continue to remain loyal to the Benin Palace in order for them to always tap from the Royal blessings to succeed in their legislative duties.
The Speaker also stated that the visit had given them ample opportunity to announce that new principal officers had emerged from the recent change in the ladership of the House.
