Idumu-Inne Community,  Isele-Uku in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State has expressed appreciation to the Delta State Government (DTSG) for constructing the 1,150 metre Idumu-Inne Road.

Speaking in an interview with newsmen, the Youth President of Idumu-Inne Community, Mr Steven Offor, said that the people of the community has long expected the construction of the road.

Mr Nwani, who stated that the administration of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has been in the forefront of road construction across the state, said that the governor in his wisdom and kind gesture had given the community a lease of life by constructing the road.

According to Mr Offor, the road appeared to have  been stalled due to the rains and the contractor had demobilized from site, even as he appealed to the contractor to return to site and commence work, saying that he had the  feeling that the project had been abandoned.

Meanwhile, the Works Commissioner (Urban and Highways), Mr Noel Omodon, has given the assurance that as soon as the rains were over, the contractor would return to site and complete the project.

The  commissioner charged the contractor to speed up work on the project and ensure that the road was completed in scheduled time.
