The Head of Service disclosed that the process is aimed at ensuring that various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of Government are strengthened to effectively respond to the demands of the people on the 21st century public service.

Okungbowa described the process as transparent and merit-based insisting that it remained the best approach to hiring quality manpower.

“Mr. Governor has constantly stated that the best hands should be brought into the service. He abhors favoritism and any form of nepotism in the recruitment process because he believes that the service should be positioned for optimal service delivery. Just as happened in last year’s recruitment exercise, the Governor has directed that the recruitment should be merit-based.” he explained

The HOS also referred to the giant strides of government in the area of infrastructure development and renewal across Edo as a testament to the fact that government is working hard to actualize its MEGA Agenda for the State and urged Edo people to support Government’s efforts.
