Edo State Government has reiterated its commitment to enhance productivity and efficient service delivery in the State Civil and Public Service as part of Governor Godwin administration mandate to ensuring workers’ efficiency and productivity.

This was disclosed by the Edo State Head of Service, Anthony Okungbowa Esq.  who spoke during a guided tour of Block B Secretariat Complex, Benin City in the Company of Permanent Secretaries and Heads of Extra Ministerial Agencies of Government on Monday 31st October,.

The Head of Service said that the Governor Godwin Obaseki led Government has demonstrated commitment to the welfare of workers and the intellectual property resource development of the civil and public servants as visible in the transformation in the public service.

“The central focus of the ongoing reform remains the welfare of workers in the state which is clearly seen in the Infrastructural developmental strides and the training and retraining of workers. The government will not relent at sustaining its workers friendly disposition,” he noted.

Okungbowa enjoined every Edo worker to reciprocate Government gesture by pledging unalloyed commitment to their duties as the Obaseki led administration has initiated policies and programmes to improve the living standard of workers and ability to deliver quality service to the people.

Also speaking during the tour, Managing Director, Public Building and Maintenance Agency ,Engr Austin Osaretin Osakwe said the building will be hosting fifteen MDAs and is one of the many other remodeled buildings which the Governor has embarked on for the benefit of workers across the State.

He further told the tour that plans are still on to unveil other projects like a creche within the secretariat complex.

Some of the MDAs already occupying the building include Ministries of Education, Environment and sustainability, Communication and Orientation, Special duties, Ministry of Youth and Gender Issues, among others.
