The Ag State Coordinator of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) in Edo State, Ehannire Theodore Osas, on Friday paid a courtesy visit to The Nigerian Observer as part of its collaborative efforts, especially in marketing the Group, Individual, Family Social Health Insurance Program (GIFSHIP) through the media to Edolites.

The NHIA team was received by The Nigerian Observer’s News Editor, Bill Okonedo, and the Deputy Editor, Edward Oseghe.

Ehannire posited that NHIA wants to let people know that there is a health insurance working in Edo state both at the federal and at the state level.

He categorically stated that NHIA represents the federal, while the Edo Health Insurance Scheme (EDOHIS), is the state’s insurance scheme; both working together with the aim of achieving universal health coverage.
