… commissions 5.62km streetlights

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki has commissioned a 5.62km streetlight project and connected more communities in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of the state to the 95MW Ossiomo Power Project, as part of the light-up Edo project.

The governor was accompanied to the project’s commissioning by his wife, Betsy; the Chief of Staff, Hon. Osaigbovo Iyoha; Special Adviser, Strategy, Policy, Projects, and Performance Management, Sarah Esangbedo Ajose-Adeogun, and other top government functionaries.

Obaseki expressed confidence that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar will emerge victorious in Saturday’s general elections, noting that Edo people will reciprocate the government’s gestures at improving the livelihoods of the people by voting en masse for the party.

He said, “On Saturday, our people will come out and vote for projects and development and won’t need to be given money to vote for our party. They know what is going on and know how our money is being spent in Edo State and will make the right decision. The people now know that PDP is the party that cares for them and can deliver development for the people.”
