Three Nigerians are among a total of 12,307 students of Oregon State University, USA, who made the Scholastic Honor Roll Winter 2023.

The three Nigerian students on the Honor Roll are Teminijesu Mary Titus Adewunmi, Senior, Computer Science (Abuja), Sochima Everton Biereagu, Junior, Computer Science (Lagos), and Oluwaseun Samue Popoola, Senior, Elect & Computer Engineering (Port Harcourt).

Oregon State University News, which announced the list, said a total of 12,307 students earned a B-plus (3.5) or better to make the listing.

“To be on the Honor Roll, students must carry at least 6 graded hours of course work,” it said.

It did not, however, give a comprehensive list of the other students who made the Honor Roll.

Oregon State University, one of only three land, sea, space and sun grant universities in the US, serves Oregon and the world by working on today’s most pressing issues, according to a brief description by Oregon State University News.

The university’s more than 35,000 students come from across the globe, and its programmes operate in every Oregon county, it said.

“Oregon State receives more research funding than all of the state’s comprehensive public universities combined.

“At our campuses in Corvallis and Bend, marine research center in Newport, OSU Portland Center and award-winning Ecampus, we excel at shaping today’s students into tomorrow’s leaders,” Oregon State University News explained.
