The founder of Paradise of Life Ministry at Ughelli, (aka Paradise Chapel), Rev (Dr) Thomas Akatika, has advised Christians in Nigeria to beware of deception, describing it as one of the weapons the devil could use to cause confusion and destroy the world.
Akatika gave the advice during the church service to celebrate the Easter in a message title,”All Powers Belong to God”.
He said many deceivers, pretending to be pastors or prophets had crept into the world to lead many astray with the intention to destroy them.
Akatika said the quest to make quick money and perform miracles had made many Christians to fall into the hands of false prophets and fake pastors whose intentions were to exploit them.
He urged Christians to trust in the power of God who is able to save, heal and deliver humanity from problems, poverty and oppression.
He said the power of God that raised Jesus Christ from the grave was still present in a genuine way and could raise any man from poverty to prosperity and from failure to success.
Akatika urged Christians to stop running from one church to another in search of wonders and miracles, even as he prayed for Nigeria, saying that the country would rise again to its glorious days.
