Edo State Skills Development Agency (Edojobs) on Tuesday, April 18, welcomed a delegation from the U.S. Embassy Abuja, and U.S. Consulate General Lagos on a productive tour of the Edo Innovates Hub and Edo Tech Park.

The delegation was on an economic-focused trip, engaging in industry-related discussions with beneficiaries, facilitators and startups in the hub.

The delegation comprised the U.S. Consulate’s Political-Economic Officer, Jordan Lachance; Environment, Science, Technology & Health Specialist, Kenechukwu Onyeke; and the U.S. Embassy’s Economic Counselor, Ian Sheridan.

The tour was led by the Edo Innovates hub manager, Mr. Precious Izoduwa Asemota. The delegates had the opportunity to explore the Edo Innovates hub and Edo Tech Park’s temporary campus, seeing firsthand, the progress and impact of these technology innovation centers by the Governor Godwin Obaseki led administration in Edo State.

For the delegates, it was also a chance to explore potential collaborations and partnerships that will further enhance the impact of the Hub and the Edo State tech ecosystem.

Edojobs is optimistic that this visit will pave the way for strategic partnerships and initiatives that will benefit both Edo State and the U.S. Embassy/Consulate in Nigeria.
