triumphed over the Dominican Republic 2-1 in a come-from-behind efforts in the opening game of Group D, at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup on Sunday at the Estadio Malvinas Argentinas in Mendoza, Argentina.
The ongoing tournament in Argentina is the 13th appearance at the U-20 World Cup for the Flying Eagles of Nigeria who were runners up in 1989 and 2005 in Saudi Arabia and The Netherlands respectively.
